Air conditioning at work

The comfort and health of your staff is obviously important to you, but cost assumptions may have made you think twice about having air conditioning installed in your company's premises. If you allow us to give you the facts you may be surprised at how little it costs and how great the benefits can be.

Today's 'super energy' workplaces do an excellent job of saving money on your energy bill. However energy efficiency brings its own challenges, chief among them the quality of the air that is constantly recirculated within your work space. Energy efficient buildings are "tight". That is, they don't allow indoor air to escape and likewise don't allow outdoor air to get in. So you get very little fresh air in an energy efficient building and wind up breathing the same air over and over again.

"Sick Building Syndrome" is the term commonly used for energy efficient buildings that don't have proper filtration systems to trap and remove the pollutants that build up in the air, or systems that have not been properly maintained. This leads to an increased likelihood of sickness in your workforce and the unwelcome impact of absenteeism on your business too.

We supply a range of air conditioning units that feature a unique 'plasma' filter. Designed originally for hospital use the filter is extremely effective at removing air borne contaminates, including fine dust, tobacco smoke and pollen. These are of considerable interest for office buildings, clubs and pubs. Units can be fixed to walls, floor mounted like radiators (though much more attractive) or fitted within a suspended ceiling.

Here are just some of the advantages of having air conditioning installed in your premises:

  • Increased productivity in the workplace and a happier, healthier workforce.
  • Added security, no need to leave windows open during hot periods.
  • Benefit of both cooling and heating options
  • Stylish and ultra-quiet units
  • Remote control timers
  • A cool atmosphere without the need to open windows (letting in both air and noise pollution). During hay-fever time having closed windows is a huge advantage. Optional pollen filters are available
